MPV New experience

3 Months in Now I can say I know how everything works around here, as in, the team, different responsibilities, and goals. Is cool when you have that feeling of "I know what I am doing" after being on an obvious learning curve. I say obvious because you are the new one , everything is different. You have to learn tools, technology, processes, team members' way of working, just to name a few. During these 3 months, I did apply all my skillset and put it to the test. Having that confidence in my previous knowledge and experience is what has helped to build this sense of "I know what I am doing". I can summarize it in a very general but small list. How: Believe in what you know, either school or work or both. Research what you are expected to do Ask questions Have an open mind to fail and receive feedback Trust the team you are on Get the Org Chart to visually identify who is who in the organization. Network and build relationships Keep going, you got this.😎

Books

Reading, anyone? Books are my passion, they make me happy and for the longest time I wanted to have somewhere to put my thoughts and my Goodreads in one place. What better resource than my own web page and blog!❤ I used to be a physical-copy type reader, going to the library or the bookstore, waiting for Amazon delivery to be able to open my box full of books, smell the pages, feel the weight in my hands, getting excited to meet the characters and be involved in the story. It is such an amazing feeling. But with my lifestyle is not possible to just have hard copies of every book I want to read. Here comes Kindle and Audio Books. I was never a huge fan of any of those. Kindle reminded me so much of school (reading all those PDFs....exhausting), Audio was for my music only. But I gave them a try, and I found that I do enjoy both versions because of how practical they are. Circling back from my last e-mail...

This post feels like when you come back to a topic discussed way back when; you totally forgot it existed and your boss reminded you of that pending follow-up status. Cue a mini heart attack, frantic email searching for specific words to see if you find something related to what your boss is asking about. Sometimes you find what you are looking for (Lucky you!), other times you are left hanging and hope your boss forgets about it like you did. 😅 What happened to me was closer to the second scenario but I am back! Why? Because I am passionate about this, I want to have something for me to look back into and see where I was in many stages of life. Right now, I am forced to take a 2-month long vacation because of visa times, lack of support, and not being able to work on my 9-5 job (another post is coming about this).
